Anxious Emily

Tuesday we took down all the infant toys, bottles, pacifiers, onesies, clothing, bedding, etc. down from the attic. Wednesday I opened up the boxes with Emily and she has been playing with everything NON STOP. Why I didn't think of this earlier, I have no clue, but for now I'm loving it! She's gotten really into feeding her "baby sister" (baby doll) a bottle and changing her diaper, etc. One of the things she is most enthralled with is the baby's pacifier. So, Wednesday morning we were sitting on her floor playing with "baby sister" and the pacifiers. She asked me bunches of questions about the pacifier and so I explained to her that when her baby sister cries the pacifier might soothe her. So she tried to put the pacifier on my belly for her baby sister and I explain to her that the baby needs to come out in order for it to be beneficial. So, she crouches down, starts to rub my belly and in the sweetest voice ever starts saying "OK baby sister, come out, come out baby." Too cute.

She also found the breast pump (a.k.a. horn) very amusing.

I draw the line at her actually using the breast pump as anything other than a horn (like its original purpose!)~A concerned Gramma

You need to take LOTS of pictures of this!:o) I remember when Claire started playing with her "sissy" right before Lily came. She still plays with that one doll and she calls it her "quiet sissy" haha. Amy, they are so much fun and it's harder with two, no doubt, but it's so awesome seeing the sisters together and how they interact with each other and take care of one another. I'm SO excited for you! :o)

Love and Prayers,
Julie
