Labor Stories Anyone?

OK ladies, I'm looking for some labor stories to keep me occupied until my second labor story unfolds. If you feel like sharing, write a comment on how your labor went and the days that led up to the birth. My first labor was pretty text book. I felt nothing until the night before when I lost my mucus plug. The next day I woke up at 6AM and contractions were coming about 5 minutes apart, went to the hospital and at about 610 PM Emily was born. With this pregnancy I've been contracting on and off for the last week or so. I am dilated a bit and thinned. The contractions have been coming on for like 2-3 hours at a time and then dropping off. Yesterday and this morning were the worst. This morning my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart and getting stronger even when I walked or sat or changed positions. I woke Stew up, showered, fully expected to call the doctor right afterwards and at around the 3 hour mark they just went away all together. UGH. Was wondering if anyone else experienced this kind of prelabor before the birth of their second? Anyway, just thought I'd see how labor was different for each of you!

Girl....I am not the person to add any info about this. I am praying that the Lord blesses you with a short labor. And again I can't wait to see the little one. I only wish we lived closer to...Connor and Emily would have a BLAST together..I could just see all the mischief they would get into...God Bless....

I wouldn't know. I was induced at 41 weeks with both of mine. They liked being in Mama's tummy, evidently! Claire's birth was very traumatic, I will spare you the details. Lily was much easier and a lot of that had to do with the wonderful nurses who coached me through and my husband(we were alone with her, with Claire there were a lot of people in and out of the room; drove me NUTS!) He just talked to me through the contractions in a calm soft voice and I got a good breathing pattern going. Before I knew it I was a 7 and I asked for my epidural but not even a minute after they got it in, I was ready to push so, it really didn't take effect cuz I only pushed 5 times and she was here! If labor was like that every time, I would have 10 children! haha. You will do great, I am sure. Keep us updated and we are praying for a safe delivery.

Love and Prayers,
Julie
