Psalm 86:11-12 ~ "Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart that I may fear your name. I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever."
Today I am thankful for what the Lord has been teaching me over the last few years. I had been drifting and had lost my "spark" for Him. Even when I chose not to make time to spend with Him, he was always looking out for me and continued to put his hand of protection on me. Through a variety of trials and times when I felt that I hit rock bottom, the Lord was able to speak to my heart and awaken me out of my spiritual slumber. One of the biggest blessings I think to come through our trials, was the decision to find a new church. My husband and I were both in need of some solid teaching and a loving environment where we could be encouraged to grow. Through prayer, we found such a great church that has exceeded all of our needs. It's really given us a (reconstructed) firm foundation to stand on. It's such a great feeling to be back in an open relationship with the Lord. I am so thankful that he never leaves his sheep behind. I am so thankful that he loves me enough to care about even the smallest details of my life. I am so thankful that the Lord parents me, and although the "growing pains" hurt sometimes, I am so thankful that he puts so much effort and time into me. So, praise the Lord, he is good, his love endures forever!

Thanks for sharing your heart. It was so encouraging!
I feel the same way about our new church. It had lit a fire in me and Ryan also. Thank the Lord that's he dosn't give up on us...
A good church where the Holy Spirit has been invited in can make a huge difference.
God is so faithful!
This is so awesome! I'm glad you've found a church. We felt the same thing with our old church and have been visiting other churches. I think the one we went to Sunday will be a promising one :) Some of the others -- well, let's just say too much "feel good" preaching instead of Jesus-preaching!
What a great testimony! Have a blessed Thankful Thursday! And stop by my place for a special prayer request.
That was beautiful and so heartfelt.
Blessings,
Mama Bear
Oh, I so totally know where you are coming from. I have been there myself. Even though we might be faithless, His faithfulness is everlasting.
Thank you so much for sharing your thankful heart with us this week.
Blessings to you and yours.
