Sarah and the apple

So, the other day I decided to do apple prints with Emily like we did last year. I thought Sarah could easily participate in this craft, so I sat her down at the table with us. Emily had lots of fun enjoying the craft. Sarah however, had other plans, like eating the apple.....

Here's proof that she was excited and smiling before we started the craft.

Emily and Sarah sitting at the table together for the first time.

Here's Em showing us the apple used for printing.

Here is the artist at work. :-)

And here would be Sarah.....holding the apple with a death grip as if the apple were the last one on earth. She would not, let me repeat, would not let go of it or try to paint with it. Thank goodness the paint was non-toxic. Below is a picture of her victorious smile once I decided to give up trying to get her to use the apple to paint with.

Here's a video to help you all visualize the moment.

Below is a picture of the apple after Sarah worked on it for about 20 minutes. I managed to get the apple from her death grip long enough to take this photo. And yes, that's her hand reaching for it while throwing a tantrum in her chair. Haha, it was a funny day!

Hi Amy!

I LOVE your new blog look!=) Just wanted to tell you that Sarah reminds me so much of the way Lily acts sometimes! Watching this gave me a good laugh and helped me realize that I am not the only one who deals with tantrums and that things don't always go perfectly for everyone else but me! =)

Your girls are so cute and they look like they had a wonderful time with Mommy! Thanks for the craft idea, too! I have done this before with nieces and nephews but had just forgot about it. So now I am wanting to try it with my girls. =)

Sorry for the novel of a comment! Have a great week!

I love that you are updating your blog more again! I love how you add still pics and videos of the story you're sharing! And I love how Sarah is smarter than you. It's an apple MOMMMY! Not a painting tool. DAH! hahahaha!

I love how you see Emily go over and check out the rug for paint, and I love Sarah's victory smile! They are 2 different girls, aren't they? :-) Mom
