Emily's first "real" hair-cut

Over the weekend I cut Emily's hair for the "first time". I put first time in quotations because I have cut the back quite a few times before, but this time I cut all over. Because Emily's hair is so curly, her hair likes to grow at very different lengths and is very difficult to manage. So, I sat down with her and cut it, to the best of my ability, all down to one length. It's short, and I'm still bummed that she doesn't have long flowing locks yet. However, it looks MUCH better than it did before and is much easier to manage. Em really enjoyed the experience as well. She asks me at least once a day if we're going to cut her hair that day. Hopefully it will grow, grow, grow now. Maybe by age three her hair will have reached her shoulders. ::sigh::

This last picture is of us attempting to get a cute mother/daughter photo. No such luck.
