Thanksgiving (part 1)

On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving Emily took part in a Thanksgiving feast at her preschool. The children were able to choose between being a pilgrim or a native american, Emily chose to be a native american. They served turkey soup, jellied cranberry sauce, cornbread muffins, juice and pumpkin pie. It was so nice to be there and to take part in a piece of her schooling. Not to mention that I took part in this same feast at this very school with two of the same teachers when I was 4 years old! This year has already been so special. I can hardly wait for the Christmas program!!

Coming out and seeing all the parents for the first time, most of the kids looked shell shocked. I'm not sure they knew what to think!

They all came out singing a song and took their seats around the feast table.

Here is the whole 2 day class.

Emily waiting patiently for her food. She kept giving me these half smiles. I think she might have been shy at first because of all the adults standing around.

And there is a happy Sarah, she loved taking part in sister's feast. :-)

Emily trying her soup.

Eating up the cranberry, she LOVES cranberries.

Drinking her juice......getting a little bored.

There's my little native american!

Here she is lining up to go back to class. I'm not sure if she was playing with this little boy or trying to get him to turn around and face the teacher. Knowing Em, it was probably the latter.

Here's a little video from the start of the feast:
