Last week Emily and I decorated my kitchen apron. I went to a local craft store and bought fabric paint, brushes and a stencil pattern. We set up shop at her craft table and went to it. I demonstrated how to do one and then she took over. She insisted on a hand print so we added that as well.

I decided to not decorate the whole apron in case we wanted to add more later, or I might let other children add their hand print to it when they get into toddler hood.

Oh, I thought she was just going to free hand paint on the apron! The stencils look really cute; she did a great job! Maybe someday she can decorate her own little Emily-sized apron!
